Anti-Copy Paper
Anti-copy paper, or copy-proof paper, is designed primarily to prevent documents from being copied or scanned.
Anti-copy paper can be produced through chemical treatment or software design.
Chemically treated anti-copy paper typically has a white color with standard coatings containing warning text such as VOID, COPY, and UNAUTHORIZED COPY. It is available in A4 and letter sizes, weighing 95gsm.
Chemically treated anti-copy paper is often considered more effective for photocopying documents, as the warning text on duplicated documents is typically more clearly visible compared to software-designed anti-copy paper.
Software-designed anti-copy paper uses a special design to hide customized warning text within patterns and colors. This involves designing characters with custom dots in a vector file format (AI or PDF) and then printing them on paper using a digital printer (such as a 1200dpi office laser printer) or an offset printing machine.
The customized warning text in the "Software design" method is not limited to VOID and COPY; it can be any character or image design, printed on paper of all weights and sizes. However, this method is best used for authentication rather than warning purposes.
Anti-copy paper finds applications in various industries, including government, law firms, financial institutions, educational institutions, and commercial sectors where preventing unauthorized copying and tampering of confidential documents is crucial.
