Tamper Proof
A tamper-proof hologram sticker is also referred to as tamper-evident, tamper-resistant, or destructible material hologram sticker.
There are several types of tamper-proof materials, including common tamper-proof, honeycomb reveal pattern, VOID/OPEN/ORIGINAL/SECURITY reveal pattern, customized reveal pattern, and eggshell sticker.
The tamper-proof hologram sticker will exhibit visible signs of tampering if someone attempts to remove it after application. Upon peeling, the clear PET will separate from the metallic layer, leaving residue on the surface of the product to which it was affixed.
The formation of residue may not occur for various reasons, particularly if the product surface is greasy, dusty, uneven, or has been surface treated with spot UV/spot varnish. Similar challenges can be encountered with certain wool products.
Tamper-proofing serves as a fundamental requirement in many cases but may not be highly effective for anti-counterfeiting. The Customized Reveal Pattern material stands out as an exception in this regard.
Templates that reveal Honeycomb and VOID patterns after the hologram sticker is lifted are commonplace in the market, providing visible evidence of tampering.
Tamper-proof hologram stickers find frequent use on products to guarantee they remain unopened until reaching customers, serving as a deterrent against tampering and counterfeiting.
